Overview

 

Reporting to the Line Leader, the Team Leader - Depositing is responsible for providing hands-on leadership to the deposit line while ensuring a consistent product in a timely manner that meets all standards set forth by FGF brands.

Responsibilities

  1. Leads by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among Team Members
  2. Conduct pre-shift huddles and provides feedback for Team Members
  3. Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Team Members
  4. Responsible for leading production Team Members on the depositing line, including Oven Operators and Mixers
  5. Co-coordinating with the mixing department to ensure proper batch is ready to be deposited
  6. Continuously loads the depositing machine with new batches
  7. Operates machine that deposits metered amount of batter into baking trays
  8. Weighs product regularly to ensure the machine is depositing the correct amount
  9. Provides adjustments to the computerized depositing machine
  10. Uses industrial sized spatula to ensure all the product batter is scraped into the machine
  11. Ensures Operations Management System (OMS) procedures are being followed (entering inventory into the operating system)
  12. Provides orientation and training as required to ensure an effective and efficient team
  13. Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing Company standards and following up on regular inspections
  14. Reports any equipment malfunctions and quality issues to the appropriate parties
  15. Ensures every Team Member on the depositing line and mixing receives their entitled break and proper coverage is provided during each Team Member’s break
  16. Follows all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by FGF brands.
  17. May be asked by a Shift Leader to perform General Labor duties when needed as well as be assigned additional duties

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/bakery experience is desirable)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue
  • Ability to understand verbal and written communications in English
  • Ability to visually inspect product and materials.
  • An understanding or wiliness to learn food manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical capable of performing the demands of the role
  • Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction
  • Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights & weekends if needed
